Responsibilities

• Collects, smears, stains, and does microscopic reading sputum specimen for diagnosis and follow-up
• Submits results of the sputum smear examination to the Clinic Nurse
• Maintains and updates the NTP Laboratory Register
• Checks and prepares NTP Report (DSSM Data)
• Participates and submits Research Proposal and Supervises / Implements with approval from National Office and Research Partners
• Disseminates to partners reliable and valid information on TB treatment and updates on prevention and studies on TB
• Conducts health education in the clinic and in the community in the absence of the Nurse
• Prepares the quarterly report on the laboratory activities and submits to the Branch Manager/Officer-in-Charge

 

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Medical Technologist
• At least six months to one year of relevant experience, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
• Willing to start ASAP
